In a groundbreaking collaboration, Apple and Disney have partnered to elevate the user experience with the upcoming Apple Vision Pro. Set to release on February 2, this $3,500 mixed-reality headset promises an unparalleled level of immersion and entertainment.

Disney Plus Theaters and Avengers Tower await Vision Pro users

With this partnership, Disney is going to provide Vision Pro users with exclusive 3D movie experiences. Select titles, such as “Avatar: The Way of Water” and “Avengers: Endgame,” will be available for rent through the Apple TV app, and users owning non-3D versions can upgrade without extra cost. Four immersive environments, including the Disney Plus Theater and Avengers Tower, will be available at launch, adding a new dimension to content consumption.

Boasting more pixels than a 4K TV for each eye, the Vision Pro features ultra-high-resolution micro-OLED displays, totaling an impressive 23 million pixels. Powered by the M2 chip, the device ensures power-efficient performance, with up to 2.5 hours of video playback and all-day use when connected to an external battery.

Running on the innovative VisionOS, the headset seamlessly integrates digital content with the user’s physical environment, creating an infinite canvas for apps, games, and spatial experiences. Users can customize their surroundings with Environments, dynamic scenes with realistic sounds that change according to the time of day.

The Vision Pro also introduces a new entertainment format, Apple Immersive Video, offering 180-degree 3D 8K recordings with Spatial Audio. This format immerses users in a variety of scenarios, from concert rehearsals to highlining adventures. Apple TV+ will feature original stories produced with Apple Immersive Video, enhancing the platform’s content library with immersive and interactive experiences.
