DaVinci Resolve and Octane X are coming to M2 iPad Pro

The new M2 iPad Pro will be getting new professional apps including DaVinci Resolve, Octane X, uMake, and Affinity Publisher. These apps will take advantage of the powerful new Apple Silicon in these tablets, and will help users accomplish professional workflows.

Apple announced these apps in its press release and in its video that was published to YouTube:

The breakthrough performance of M2 enhances an incredible selection of pro apps available on iPad, including DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Photoshop, Affinity Publisher 2 iPad, Octane X, uMake, and more.

DaVinci Resolve is one of the most popular apps for video editing and allows professional-level color grading, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics, and audio post production. The app is used by professionals around the world at all levels, and has been available on Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Octane X is another professional app that is used by 3D graphics artists and features an unbiased GPU renderer and RNDR network support. The app was released for Apple Silicon Macs just last year.

Affinity Publisher is a professional publishing app and is used for creating concept art, print projects, logos, UI designs, and more. The app features vector and raster design tools, and can be used for a variety of purposes. Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer are already available for iPad for some time, so this will be a great addition to their suite of apps.

uMake is yet another app used for 3D design and CAD modeling. The app is already available for iPhone and iPad, and will likely be updated with M2 chip support. The app is known for its intuitive use and lets users create 3D designs and scenes easily, and share and publish them anywhere. The app has won iPad Pro app of the year award from Apple before too.

iPad Pro is available for pre-order now and will start shipping on October 24.
