Siri gains new “American” voice in iOS 15.4 beta 4 and Dutch support in HomePod 15.4 beta 4

Apple voice assistant, Siri has gained new features on the latest iOS 15.4 and HomePod 15.4 beta 4 updates. On the fourth beta of iOS 15.4, Siri gains a new “American” voice which will be its fifth option for American voice. And on HomePod 15.4 beta 4, the voice assistant now supports the Dutch language.

In the upcoming iOS 15.4, Apple has reintroduced the “Improve Siri & Dictation” for all users after fixing a bug that shared users’ audio data with Apple even when the feature was disabled, and in HomePod 15.2, the tech giant released the Apple Music Voice Plan that is powered by Siri and support for new languages. At the time it was speculated that the new Siri voice recognition languages include Dutch and French in Belgium, Russian in Russia, and French, German, and Italian in Switzerland.

iOS 15.4 will add a new “Quinn” American voice and expands Dutch language voice recognition support for Siri

HomePod mini is expected to launch in four more countries this year: Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, and Russia. And ahead of its launch, iCulture spotted that Siri, on HomePod and HomePod mini, on HomePod 15.4 beta 4 works in Dutch which makes it more productive in a household with several people.

After installing the latest beta of iOS 15.4 and the beta of HomePod software update 15.4, we noticed that the “Voice Recognition Not Available” message is no longer present in the Personal Request settings.

Previously, when using Dutch Siri , you also received a screen explaining that you must choose a language supported by Siri in order to use voice recognition. In iOS 15.4 this has been replaced by an introduction screen about how voice recognition works on the HomePod, also in combination with Dutch Siri.
