Samsung Strengthens Preventative Healthcare with Expanded Digital Health Program

Samsung is deepening its commitment to preventative care by broadening its Privileged Health Software Development Kit (SDK) program, allowing more healthcare providers to leverage Galaxy Watch data for real-time health insights and remote patient monitoring.

The initiative focuses on integrating biometric data from Samsung’s wearables with specialized health platforms, offering users more personalized and accessible tools for managing their wellbeing. By forming strategic partnerships with healthcare innovators, Samsung is building a connected digital ecosystem aimed at empowering individuals and medical professionals alike.

According to Hon Pak, Vice President of Samsung’s Digital Health Team, the goal is to create a more collaborative approach to digital health. The company’s open model encourages seamless integration with third-party services, enabling comprehensive care that can be managed directly from home.

The expanded program supports diverse clinical applications. Biofourmis, for example, uses Galaxy Watch data to track and manage patient health remotely through its care dashboard, providing tailored interventions to thousands each month. Meanwhile, Kencor Health applies biometric data to anticipate conditions like hyperkalemia in patients with kidney disease.

For cardiac care, Medical AI utilizes ECG readings from the Galaxy Watch to detect arrhythmias and deliver early alerts. Oova, a platform focused on women’s health, blends wearable data with hormone tracking to offer targeted support during fertility cycles and perimenopause.

Samsung’s technology is also finding use in therapeutic environments. XRHealth incorporates Galaxy Watch data into virtual rehabilitation programs, using haptic feedback to guide patients during physical and mental health sessions. Healium, another partner, visualizes stress responses through immersive media tied to heart rate, helping users gain greater awareness of their emotional state.

The innovation extends to sleep optimization. Samsung has teamed up with 3Boon1 to develop smart mattresses that work with Galaxy Watch sensors to monitor sleep stages and vital signs. These smart beds automatically adjust temperature throughout the night, enhancing rest without disrupting the user.

By continuing to collaborate with health-focused partners, Samsung is turning advanced wearables into practical tools that support proactive, at-home health management. The company’s broader vision is to make personalized care more accessible and empower users to take greater control over their physical and mental wellbeing.
